Cuba Participates in UN Cooperation with Liberia.
United Nations agencies reviewed projects and the overall framework for multilateral cooperation with Liberia at an international seminar held this December.
Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles attended the event and expressed her gratitude for the support provided by multilateral agencies to those affected by Hurricane Melissa in eastern Cuba, as well as the support of the Liberian government and people for Cuba in the resolution condemning the US economic, commercial, and financial blockade. The diplomat reaffirmed Cuba's willingness to participate in cooperation projects with Monrovia, leveraging Cuban expertise in various areas, and highlighted the growing role of Liberian diplomacy, which secured a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council representing the African continent.
