Cuban Ambassador Invited to Government Event on Human Rights in Monrovia

To commemorate International Human Rights Day on December 10, the Liberian government organized an event attended by representatives from various branches of the executive and judicial branches of government responsible for upholding human rights.

As a guest at the official event, Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles denounced the war and the violations of human rights suffered by the Cuban people due to ongoing U.S. imperialist aggression. She also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli government.

The Ambassador praised the work carried out by Liberian organizations, institutions, and the government, which was recognized by the participants. She urged them to work together to promote education and health among the Liberian people, who can and deserve a higher level of socioeconomic development.
