Cuban Head of Mission participates in activity to recognize Liberian government officials.

Monrovia, September 3, 2024 - At the invitation of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, in collaboration with UN Women, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L Martinez Herrera participated in a special activity in recognition of current and former Liberian government officials and heads of international and UN organizations.

The event was attended by women leaders in the struggle for the empowerment of women. Many of them told their stories revealing all the obstacles they had to face to achieve a relevant role in the sphere where they have developed.

This event is a testimony of dedication, leadership and contributions to advance gender equality and women's empowerment in Liberia.
