The Cuban Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia by the Honourable Abraham Korvah, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration.
Both discussed issues of bilateral relevance and reviewed matters of mutual interest in the field of cooperation between both countries and procedures to move forward effectively.
During the meeting, the aspects to be taken into account for the selection of the Liberian students who will travel to Cuba to study medicine at university through the modality of intergovernmental agreement were reviewed.
On the Liberian side, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for American Affairs, Hon. Maxwell P. Vah, also participated in the meeting.
