The President of the African Union Commission receives the Ambassador of Cuba to the continental organization

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2026.- The Chairman of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the continental organization, Lucas Domingo Hernández Polledo, in a meeting held at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa.

Cuban Ambassador attends Ghana independence commemoration

In order to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Ghana, a beautiful celebration took place at Monrovia City Hall.

Along with members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and prominent Liberian figures, Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles was present to convey congratulations and best wishes for prosperity and development to the brothers and sisters of this African nation.

Addis Ababa, April 4, 2025.- The Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas D. Hernández Polledo, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Mr. Youssouf Mondoha Assoumani, Ambassador of the Union of the Comoros and Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps accredited to Ethiopia.

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Liberia holds exchange with Cuban Head of Mission.

Monrovia, November 15, 2024-, In a fraternal atmosphere, Liberia's First Deputy Foreign Minister Deweh E. Gray held a fruitful meeting with Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

During the exchange, bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to both countries were discussed.

The occasion was propitious for the Cuban diplomat to reiterate her gratitude to the Liberian government for its support to the Cuban cause against the U.S. blockade.
