Head of Cuban mission receives Liberian students studying in Cuba.

Monrovia, August 4, 2021.- This afternoon, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia received the visit of two of the Liberian students who are studying Medicine in Cuba through the Scholarship Plan offered by the Cuban government as part of the cooperation with the African country.

Francis Mahweah Jr. and Edvida B. Davies had a clear and cordial exchange with the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera where they showed all that Cuban solidarity is capable of achieving.

Head of Cuban Mission in Liberia held exchange with Liberian philanthropist

Monrovia, August 3, 2021 - The Head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, held an exchange with MacDella Cooper, Liberian philanthropist and one of the leaders in the struggle for the empowerment of women.

The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere where they exchanged on the situation of women in different parts of the world and the interest in continuing to work for the empowerment of women in the West African country.

Monrovia, July 29, 2021.- Cuban graduate and president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association, Kesselee King Kanneh, reiterates solidarity and condemns the blockade and aggressions against the island of Cuba.

The head of the Cuban mission in this West African nation, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, expresses her gratitude for the solidarity support.

Solidarity is love among peoples and the certainty that Humanity can be better.

Cuban Head of Mission was received at the Liberian Foreign Ministry.

Monrovia, July 28, 2021.- Today, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia by the Director of the Americas Affairs Division, Honorable Maxwell P. Vah.

Both diplomats held a pleasant meeting in which they discussed current national issues of both countries and of bilateral interest.

The Cuban diplomat reiterated her government's gratitude for Liberia's position of solidarity against the blockade of the Greater Antilles.

Monrovia, July 26, 2021.- President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez congratulated their respective Liberian counterparts on the occasion of the 174th anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of this West African nation.

Díaz-Canel extended warm congratulations to Liberian President George Manneh Weah.

International Day of Afrodescendant Women is commemorated at the Cuban Embassy in Liberia.

Monrovia, July 25, 2021.- The International Day for Afrodescendant Women is also known as Afro-Latin, Afro-Caribbean and Diaspora Women's Day. This date is closely related to International Women's Day, as it is another opportunity to vindicate the rights and dignity of women in general.

Monrovia, July 21, 2021 - Last night, executives of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group joined the Cuban Embassy in Liberia and participated in the virtual event "Cuba Vencerá".

During the meeting they discussed the current situation in Cuba and the most recent events in the largest of the Antilles, the destabilization attempts promoted and financed from abroad and the unprecedented media onslaught against the Cuban revolutionary process.
