Cuban Head of Mission holds exchange with Minister of Public Works of Liberia.

Monrovia, June 15, 2022 - In the afternoon, Cuban diplomat Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, head of the Cuban mission in Liberia, held an exchange with the recently appointed Minister of Public Works Mrs. Ruth Coker Collins who has Herculean tasks in the supervision of Liberia's infrastructure sector.

During the conversation, the Liberian minister praised the work carried out by the Cuban doctors in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus, highlighting their professionalism, capacity and humanism.

43 years of fruitful bilateral relations between Cuba and Lesotho

Pretoria, June 14, 2022.- Cuba and Lesotho today celebrate the 43rd anniversary of their bilateral diplomatic relations, established on June 14, 1979. Throughout these 43 years, the two nations have paved productive relations, based on friendship, cooperation and solidarity.

The permanent exchange of first-level visits and the important cooperation agreements in force are expression of the good state of these relations.

Monrovia, May 31, 2022 - The Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Liberia, Honorable Dr. Wilhemina Jallah, in a fraternal atmosphere.

The occasion was propitious to address priority issues of the bilateral agenda and to reiterate the importance of advancing in the consensus reached between both countries, while ratifying the mutual willingness to strengthen and expand bilateral relations.

Cuban Head of Mission holds meeting with Liberian Minister of Internal Affairs.

Monrovia, May 11, 2022 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a fraternal exchange with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, Honorable Varney Ali Sirleaf.

During the meeting, the two exchanged on issues of interest to both parties and discussed the current internal situation of the West African country. Current international issues were also discussed.

Monrovia, April 16, 2022 - On the occasion of the celebration of the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Liberia, the President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association, on behalf of all its members, delivered a congratulatory message to the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

Monrovia, April 11, 2022 - In the morning hours, the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera was received at the Liberian Foreign Ministry by the Assistant Minister of American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Hon. Maxwell P. Vah.

Both diplomats held a fruitful meeting where they discussed issues of interest of the bilateral agenda and in which both parties expressed their willingness to continue strengthening the ties that unite Cuba and Liberia.

Head of Mission receives visit of first Liberian graduate in Cuba.

Monrovia, April 6, 2022 - In the morning, the Cuban Embassy received the visit of Alfred Nahold Zulu, first Liberian graduate in the Greater Antilles, who was received by the Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

Both had a special and emotional exchange where the gratitude and praise to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and to our country prevailed.

Alfred Zulu, a graduate in Forestry Engineering, thanks the University of Pinar del Rio for having obtained his degree in 1995.
