Havana, April 19, 2021. The eighth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba that hold from April 16 to 19 at the Havana Convention Center dedicated a paragraph of the international part in its Central Report, to its relations with Africa.
Cuba maintains diplomatic relations with the 55 member states of the African Union and has forged active cooperative ties with most of them.
Monrovia, April 19, 2021.- Cuba and Liberia are today celebrating the 47th anniversary of the establishment of their uninterrupted diplomatic relations, which have been characterized by cordiality and mutual support on issues on the international agenda.
Throughout these decades, the ties between the two nations have reflected the will to preserve and strengthen the fraternal ties that unite these two countries.
Monrovia, April 18, 2021 - On April 19, 1974, Cuba and Liberia decided to establish diplomatic relations.
Under the concepts of respect and mutual assistance, both countries have since then strengthened their relations for the good of the Liberian and Cuban people.
Many of the members of the solidarity association are the fruit of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Monrovia, April 17, 2021.- The Liberian newspaper "Liberia News" highlights in its Saturday edition, the celebration of the VIII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.
The referred newspaper of this West African nation points out that Raúl Castro, first secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC, during the presentation of the Central Report, Cuba has preserved important social achievements in education, health and social security, in spite of the intensification of the US embargo against the island.
Monrovia, April 9, 2021 - The Head of the Cuban Mission in Monrovia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, participated in a virtual meeting with members of the diplomatic corps of Liberia where the main topic was the update of the internal situation of the African country.
The meeting was convened by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Monrovia who led the exchange on the most controversial issues of the West African country.
