Addis Ababa, August 28, 2025.- In an emotional message broadcast by Ahadu Radio, the Cuban ambassadors accredited in Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez (Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia) and Lucas Domingo Hernández Polledo (Ambassador to the African Union), extended warm greetings of congratulations to the Ethiopian people and Government on the occasion of the celebration of the Ethiopian New Year 2018, to be held on September 11.
During their remarks, both diplomats conveyed their most sincere wishes for prosperity, peace, health, and unity to the brotherly people of Ethiopia on this significant date. They also reaffirmed the historic bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation that have united Cuba and Ethiopia for five decades.
“The Cuban people share with you the joy of this new cycle and wish you a year filled with love, development, and harmony,” the ambassadors expressed in their message.
The recording of the greeting was carried out by the multimedia station Ahadu TV/Radio, as part of a special series of diplomatic congratulatory messages for the Ethiopian New Year, Enkutatash.
