Far from the Homeland, but united

Ottawa - This September 27th, Cuban residents in Canada celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), together with the staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Canada.

As is customary on this date, the celebration was accompanied by dominoes, popular Cuban music, and the traditional streamers and caldosa (a type of stew), indispensable during this national holiday.

In his speech, the Cuban Ambassador, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, highlighted to those present the significance of this date for Cubans, as well as the importance of celebrating together despite being far from the Homeland.
