Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association congratulates Brigade Henry Reeve.

Monrovia, September 19, 2020 - On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the creation of the "Henry Reeve" International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association sent a congratulatory note to our diplomatic headquarters for the international brigade.

In it, it expresses its most sincere recognition and appreciation for the work done by the Henry Reeve Brigade since its creation in 2005 on the initiative of the Commander in Chief. Perhaps one of the most significant missions and the greatest challenges in the opinion of its members, was to confront the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, where a group of 260 health professionals traveled in 2014 to Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry and Liberia, countries most affected by the disease, and managed to save the lives of some seven thousand people.

In a note signed by the president of the Association Kesselee Kanneh, they indicate that as the members of the Henry Reeve Contingent fought against Ebola and cholera, today they are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic in countries on different continents of the world.

He ends his congratulatory note by reiterating his request to award the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize to the Henry Reeve medical brigades and congratulates and wishes success to its members.
