Monrovia, June 17, 2021 - Members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group and the Cuban Embassy collective in this West African country joined their voices and through the virtual event "Solidarity vs. Blockade" denounced the US political subversion and blockade of the largest of the Antilles.
This event showed once again that Cuba is not alone in its struggle against the illegal and genocidal policy. One of its main themes was the confrontation with the enemy subversion, which tries to discredit and divide us; and the protagonist participation of young people in every battle that Cuba fights, both inside and outside the country.
Guests at the event spoke about how the subversive agenda against Cuba is connected to the economic, commercial and financial blockade to which the United States has subjected the Greater Antilles for 60 years.
Members of the Liberian solidarity organization rejected the hostile U.S. policy against Cuba, issued messages of condemnation and demanded in their comments the cessation of subversion to the island.
On June 23, Cuba will submit to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) the report Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.
