Liberian Vice President receives Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Monrovia, March 21, 2023- The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, was received by the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Jewel C. Howard-Taylor, during the official visit of the Cuban high official to the African nation.

Both sides discussed foreign policy issues of common interest and recognized the importance of this meeting in the year that Cuba and Liberia celebrate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

On the Cuban side, Luis Alberto Amorós Núñez, director of the Sub-Saharan Africa directorate of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, and Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia, participated in the meeting.
