In a diaphanous and fraternal atmosphere, the President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association along with several graduates in Cuba, spoke with the Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Liberia, in which Cuba's Chargé d'Affaires in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, also participated.
The official of the Cuban Foreign Ministry offered the members an updated overview of the process of updating the Cuban economic model. He also thanked them for their expressions of affection and solidarity with Cuba, with Commander Fidel and with the Cuban Revolution, particularly in the struggle to lift the blockade, a task that continues to be of prime importance for Cuban foreign policy. David P. Gayflor, President of the Association, thanked the visitor for the possibility of the meeting and reiterated the commitment of his organization to continue accompanying Cuba "in its struggle for just causes and the end of the long blockade that affects so much Cuban people ".
