The new leadership of the Liberian Writers and Journalists Union visits the Cuban Embassy

The Liberian Writers and Journalists Union will be led by the Association of Publishing Houses for a four-year term, as decided by the more than 3,200 members of the Union who recently cast their vote.

The Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, who attended the ceremony, invited the new leadership to the Cuban House, where the journalists received information on statements from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) and the Cuban government, copies of the report detailing the damages and effects of the blockade against the Cuban people, the complexities of the U.S. military deployment in the region, and also viewed one of the marches by Cuban youth against the genocide in Palestine.
