President of the Slovenian-Cuban Friendship Association visits the Embassy of Cuba in Austria.

 The headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba in Vienna was the scene of a fraternal meeting between the President of the Slovene-Cuban Friendship Association, Igor Jurisic; the President of the Association of Slovenian Students, Aleksandar Spremo and the student leader, Momir Todorovic with Marieta García Jordán Chargé d'Affaires a.i., and other diplomats from the Caribbean country.

The Slovenian friends expressed satisfaction for receiving current information about Cuba and sharing proposals on upcoming bilateral actions to be carried out. Among these is the visit of a group of memb

ers of the solidarity movement to Cuba, in March, in coordination with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and the organization of the next European Solidarity with Cuba, to be held in November, in Slovenia.

Juristic confirmed the commitment of Slovenian friends to support the causes of Cuba in their country and in Europe in general and to continue expanding the membership of the solidarity organization with other Slovenian sectors, such as the student. Spremo expressed interest in initiating contacts with Cuban student organizations and, given the information received about their histories and fighting traditions, he was motivated to visit Cuba next year.

The Cuban diplomat thanked the Slovenian friends for their initiatives and permanent support to Cuba. The Slovene-Cuban Friendship Association was founded in 2009 and is made up of more than 500 members, mostly young people.
