BRIEFING NOTE ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2022. 1341 HOURS.

A speedboat coming from the United States, which violated Cuba’s territorial waters in a human smuggling operation, sank to the north of Bahia Honda, in the province of Artemisa, when it clashed with a Border Guard surface unit during the identification procedure, according to preliminary reports.

President of the Slovenian-Cuban Friendship Association visits the Embassy of Cuba in Austria.

 The headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba in Vienna was the scene of a fraternal meeting between the President of the Slovene-Cuban Friendship Association, Igor Jurisic; the President of the Association of Slovenian Students, Aleksandar Spremo and the student leader, Momir Todorovic with Marieta García Jordán,  Chargé d'Affaires a.i.,  and other diplomats from the Caribbean country.

Cuban Ambassador holds meeting with President of the Subcommittee of European Affairs of the Austrian Parliament

Dr. Reinhold Lopatka, President of the Subcommittee on European Affairs and Vice-President of the Foreign Policy Commission of the Austrian Federal Parliament, received the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, in a cordial meeting at the legislative headquarters.

Havana, January 31, 2018. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today delivered the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the United States in Havana, Lawrence Gumbiner, a diplomatic note that expresses its strong protest against the claim of the US government to flagrantly violate Cuban sovereignty, with respect to the national competence to regulate the flow of information and the use of the mass media, while rejecting the attempt to manipulate the Internet to carry out illegal programs for political and subversion purposes, as part of their actions aimed at altering or changing the constitutional order of the Republic of Cuba. The same note was sent by the Embassy of Cuba in Washington to the Department of State.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Slovenia holds meetings with the President and other high authorities of this country

The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Slovenia, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios had meetings with the highest authorities of this country: President, Borut Pahor; Prime Minister, Miro Cerar; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karl Erjavec and other representatives of the State and Government in the margins of the New Year´s reception held in the Congress Center of Ljubljana, the capital of the European country. It was a suitable opportunity to reaffirm the good state of the bilateral relations and the willingness to continue strengthening them.

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute a tour of European countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will start a tour of Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and the Vatican from Thursday 15th.

During the tour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute an extensive programme of official meetings with his couenterparts and other national authorities.
