Monrovia, June 2, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group sent to our Embassy in Monrovia a Declaration of support for Cuba's position expressed through the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba entitled "Cuba condemns terrorism and political manipulation".
In that document the solidarity organization joins, once again, the rejection of the inclusion of Cuba in the list of the United States Department of State referring to countries that according to them do not cooperate with the efforts in the fight against terrorism, indicating that this list has no basis or international support.
It points out that the main argument used by the United States Government on which they based this decision is totally unfounded because Cuba is a country that fights against terrorism and has been the victim of terrorist acts that have cost the lives of thousands of Cubans and have brought pain to Cuban families.
It refers to the recent terrorist act that was perpetrated against the Cuban embassy in Washington DC, about which no investigation has been carried out and on which they have maintained total silence.
Through their statement they also condemn the threats against the integrity of Cuban diplomats and embassies that have taken place in the United States itself and in several countries.
They conclude their letter by stating that the intensification of this policy of aggression against Cuba only generates more hatred and violence.
