LONDON – 6th September 2025 – Ambassador Ismara Vargas Walter delivered a speech focused on the power of international solidarity during her participation at the El Sueño Existe festival in Machynlleth, Wales, on Saturday 6th September.
Her address took place during Session 2, entitled "The Power of Solidarity," where she shared the panel with Cuban resident Valía Rodríguez. The panel was also distinguished by the participation of British MP Steve Witherden, Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cuba.
London, September 3, 2025 - The Cuban ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara Vargas Walter, participated in a round table organized by the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU). The session was presided over by parliamentarian Fabian Hamilton, president of the BGIPU and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Latin America.

The members of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association (AAIC) met to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, this past Thursday, at the Café Cuba in the city of Karaj. The president of the AAIC, Hadi Khansari, organized together with the Embassy a political cultural event with the presence of poets, painters, businessmen and tour operators, all friends of the island.
Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - This afternoon, members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group joined the Cuban Embassy in that West African country to commemorate one of the most important days in the history of Cuba, the Day of National Rebellion, a date that marked the beginning of the final stage of the struggles for independence.
On this day of celebration for all Cubans, the friends of solidarity congratulated the government and people of Cuba, a country that educated and welcomed many Liberians who attended free courses.
Monrovia, February 5, 2024.- The Executive of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia where they met with the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.
In the exchange it was evidenced that the ties of solidarity and support to the Greater of the Antilles continue to be strengthened as respect to the dignity of our country and that solidarity cannot be blocked.
Monrovia, November 5, 2023 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group issues a statement of support to Cuba for its resounding victory at the United Nations, which once again evidences the overwhelming call of the international community to put an end to the genocidal blockade.
Through its president Kesselee Kanneh, who visited our Embassy to deliver the statement, the solidarity group supported Cuba in its struggle against the genocidal blockade that overwhelms the largest of the Antilles.
