Statement by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, on the impact of natural phenomena in countries of the Caribbean.
In the last few hours, natural phenomena have been impacting countries in the Wider Caribbean Basin.
Cuba expresses its solidarity with the Caribbean brothers affected by Hurricane Irma, especially with the people and authorities of Antigua and Barbuda, where our health workers continue to provide services and contribute to the recovery of the country.
Likewise, we reiterate our solidarity and support to the peoples and governments of Mexico and Guatemala, following the strong earthquake that struck last night and caused significant human and material losses.
