President of Cuba highlighted the legal value of the Family Code

Havana, Sep 7. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stressed today that the new Family Code encourages affection as a legal value, a novel aspect of this law that will go to a popular referendum on September 25.

The #FamilyCode implies something very novel: affection as a legal value. That is why it has been called the Code of Affection. It has an undisputed ethical value, it teaches us to think and gives us the reins to educate future generations. #CódigoSi (#CodeYes),” the Cuban president wrote on Twitter.

Cuba achieves silver in the U15 Baseball World Cup

Hermosillo, Mexico, September 4

The Cuban national team today won the silver medal in the World Baseball Championship, sub-15 category, after losing the title dispute against its similar team from the United States by 4-3.

Cubans gave up a close duel against the US team that culminated in a strikeout in the top of the seventh inning when they had the bases loaded and their best batter on duty.
