Willimantic city calls for the end of U.S. blockade against Cuba

Washington, September 21

The city hall of Willimantic, Connecticut, passed a resolution condemning the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. government on Cuba for over 60 years.

The new resolution is aimed at calling the Joe Biden Administration and Congress for the end of all punitive measures against Cuba, according to a statement accessed by Prensa Latina.

Scientific community backs Family Code in Cuba

Cuba's scientific community today endorsed the Family Code, which has a humanist and inclusive character, and will be submitted to popular vote next Sunday.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Visits Greek Orthodox Archdiocese

On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Archdiocese headquarters, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla. Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Carlos. F. Cossio; Ambassador of Cuba in Washington Ms. Lianys Torres Rivera; Deputy Ambassador to the UN Mr. Yuri Gala; Chief of the Foreign Minister’s Office Mr. Noel Quesada González; and Second Secretary of Cuba Mission to the UN Mr. Ernesto Sierra also attended the meeting as part of the delegation. 

Members of the Embassy of Cuba in the US vote in referendum on the Family Code

September 18th, 2022

Early in the morning, all the members of the Embassy of Cuba in the United States carried out the referendum vote on the Families Code.

The process began after singing the notes of the National Anthem. It took place in all Cuban representations abroad and preceded the popular vote in Cuba on September 25th.
