Havana, April 16
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday recalled the proclamation of the socialist nature of the Revolution, 61 years after the event prior to the mercenary Bay of Pigs invasion, orchestrated by the United States.
The president tweeted that on April 16, 1961, the Cuban people “proclaimed their Revolution was socialist before going to defend the homeland in the sands of Bay of Pigs.”
Farmers and business leaders in the United States and Cuba agreed that the blockade imposed by the U.S. government on our country seriously limits agricultural commerce and hinders development of the potential that exists, during the Third Cuba-US Agricultural Trade Conference in Havana
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel met with participants in the conference, thanking them for their efforts demanding an end to the blockade and promoting trade.
Havana, Apr 11 (Prensa Latina) A load of 3,400 kilograms of powdered milk collected by groups of Cubans residing in the United States and other organizations of that nation in solidarity with Cuba was received today in this capital.
The donation, which arrived at the José Martí international airport, has an approximate value of 15,813 dollars, and will go to the oncology hospitals of Havana and Holguín, in the east of the island, as well as to older adults from the Salvation Army home, reported the promoters of the initiative.

A recognition of the Cuban people and Government to the American farmers, for the effort they have made within the US society to normalize relations with Cuba, was made by the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz- Canel Bermúdez, to participants in the III Cuba-United States Agricultural Business Conference, which will be held in Havana from Tuesday until tomorrow.
