The Honorable Minister Samal Mojah Duggins in charge of the Agriculture, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Cooperatives, Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Sports and Creative Economy portfolios, was received this morning on a working visit, by the Cuban Ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis, David Rivero Pérez, at the diplomatic headquarters.
As has become the custom lately, the diplomats of the Cuban Embassy in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis together with the new head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, who traveled to Nevis on a working visit, were warmly welcomed by the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, Minister of Health for this territory, and Shelisa Martin-Clarke, Permanent Secretary for the branch.
The delivery and reception of the position of the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Kitts and Nevis, concluded this Monday at the Cuban Embassy, with the signing of the act that accredits this process carried out after several days of joint work, between the outgoing doctor Jorge Ceiro Grimón and the new doctor Odalis Abreu Girado.
Cuba scored a new victory on Thursday in its struggle against the United States blockade by achieving overwhelming support at the United Nations (UN) for a resolution passed by 185 votes in favor.
The resolution was only opposed by the United States and its staunched ally Israel, while Brazil and Ukraine abstained.
