Cuba present in meeting with the First Vice President of Azerbaijan

The first vice president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, met with women representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Baku, on the occasion of the Novruz celebrations.

On behalf of Cuba, the meeting was attended by the consul of the island's mission in Azerbaijan, Alina Irene Quesada Rodríguez.

The First Vice President of Azerbaijan congratulated all those present for the arrival of spring to this Caucasian nation.

Afternoon of friendship between Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Cuba

The Bulgarian singer Yordanka Hristova, a friend of Cuba and Azerbaijan, received a tribute during a meeting held at the Miniature Book Museum in Baku.

Zarifa Salajova, director of the Museum and organizer of the meeting, recalled the beginning of her relations with the singer and how love and solidarity towards Cuba and her people have always been present in the cultural life of both and the close friendship that unites them.

Cuba present in gala for national folkloric festival "Novruz"

Cuba was among the nations present at the cultural gala for the national holiday "Novruz" carried out by the University of Languages of Azerbaijan.

Under the title "La Multicultural Fiesta Novruz", the event was attended by the diplomatic corps accredited in Baku, teachers and students of this high center of studies.

The rector of the university, academician Kamal Abdulla, in his inauguration words highlighted that the gala was a sample of the tolerance and multiculturalism that Azerbaijan offers to foreigners.

Tourism University of Azerbaijan promotes collaboration with Cuba

The rector of the University of Administration and Tourism of Azerbaijan (ATMU), Ilham Madatov, praised the collaboration between Havana and Baku during a meeting with the ambassador of Cuba in this Caucasian nation, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.

Madatov expressed the will of his center to promote ties with the island and encourage the preparation of its students through university exchange programs in Cuban institutions.
