The Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, in the framework of the annual meeting of the of the Danish Friendship Association, highlighted that the values of solidarity and internationalism practiced by Cuba since the beginning, have been the guiding principles in the trajectory of the Cuban Revolution
The leadership of the Communist Party in Denmark (Kpid) issued a statement signed by its President, Rikke Carlsson, against the maneuvering of a group of deputies in the European Parliament.
The party leader urges all Danish members in the European Chamber not to join this action and to speak out against a demonstration harmful to the Cuban people amid the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

We have noted that the agenda of the next meeting of the European Parliament contains the item “Declaration of the VPC / HR - Human Rights and the Political Situation in Cuba” - Tuesday, June 8.
It is reported that this is an initiative of members of the European Parliament who want to question the existing agreements between the EU and Cuba when there is a constructive dialogue underway.
We have learned to our disgust that a small group of MEP’s servile to Washington have placed an item on the agenda of the next plenary session of the European Parliament (8 June) regarding the “Political Situation and Human Rights in Cuba”.
