Cuba counters human trafficking operations aimed for military recruitment purposes

The Ministry of the Interior has detected and it is working to neutralize and dismantle a human trafficking network that operates from Russia in order to incorporate Cuban citizens living there and even some living in Cuba, into the military forces that participate in military operations in Ukraine. Attempts of this nature have been neutralized and criminal proceedings have been initiated against those involved in these activities. Cuba’s enemies are promoting distorted information that seeks to tarnish the country’s image and present it as an accomplice to these actactions that we firmly reject.

Cuba participates in homage to Heroes of Namibia also from Finland

In a solemn meeting, the Embassy of Namibia in Finland commemorated the Day of the Heroes and Heroines of the Homeland, a space attended by the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, and accompanied by the distinguished Ambassador H.E. Mr. Charles B. Jobson and other representatives of that African country. During his speech, the Namibian diplomat signified the recent visit of President Miguel Díaz-Canel to his country, his words to the people of Namibia at the ceremony for Heroes' Day and the Namibian Government's recognition of Cuba's participation in the independence of this nation and other African lands. It was also a heartfelt tribute to the Cuban men and women who offered their lives for the independence of Namibia.

Citizenship granted to two Cubans born in Finland

The Cuban Consulate in Finland granted Cuban citizenship to little Carolina and Natalia, both born in this Nordic nation to Cuban parents. The Head of the consular office, Adalberto Ávila Parra, expressed his satisfaction at being able to help Cuban citizens who need support to grant a legal identity to their children, a measure adopted by the Government as part of the attention to the approaches of the Community of Cubans Resident Abroad. The "Energy Future in Cuba" Seminar invited the Finnish business community to participate in the change of the energy matrix on the Island

Cuban ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, had the great opportunity to be part of the final seminar "Energy Future in Cuba" about the impact and the need for a transition towards renewable sources that took place this Friday.
