Cuba donates six titles in Spanish to the national electronic library "Helmet" in an event sponsored by Ninho association

The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, participated in the traditional storytelling marathon in Spanish, sponsored by the cultural association "Ninho" and aimed at the Latin American community residing in Helsinki. During her presentation at the central Oodi library, the diplomat read three fragments from the book "The Country of Fears", written by Jorge Luis Peña. Cuba also joined in donating texts to the "Helmet" network of institutions on this occasion with six titles by Cuban authors, in PDF, Mobi and Pub formats, for the electronic library of institutions throughout the country.

ICAP awards recognition to the Finland-Cuba Association on its 60th Anniversary

The members of the 60th Anniversary delegation of the Finland-Cuba Association were received on the premises of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), by its president Fernando González Llort, and other directors of the institution, with whom they shared memories of the last 60 years of beautiful ties between both peoples. During the meeting held in the capital "Casa de la Amistad" the ICAP Presidency recognized the Association for the six decades dedicated to strengthening ties between Cuba and Finland.

The members of the 60th Anniversary delegation of the Finland-Cuba Association have carried out an intense agenda of activities after their arrival on the Caribbean Island. The tour began with a visit to Finca Marta, located in the Artemiseño town of Caimito, an example of a family and ecologically sustainable farm. Later, the delegation visited the special school "Solidarity with Panama" where they were received by its Director María Esther la O, who has directed the institution for more than three decades.

In Havana, a representation of Cuban emigration has widely discussed topics of interest to them during the closing weekend with the Government of Cuba, in an exchange guided by respect and love for their Homeland. Among those present is the young businessman Publio López, resident in the Republic of Latvia, and who like many today contributes to the economic development of the country. The IV Conference of the Nation and Emigration has endorsed a new page in the history of the dialogue that began in 1978, and leaves us with a strong and united Cuba.

The IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration” began this Saturday as part of the continuous and irreversible strengthening of ties between Cuba and its nationals abroad. The opening session, at the Convention Palace, was attended by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

45 years after that first dialogue in 1978 promoted by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the IV Conference “The Nation and Emigration” began in Havana, which on Saturday and Sunday will bring together nearly 400 Cubans residing in different parts of the world. When the President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez entered the plenary hall of the Convention Palace, a diverse and plural audience, standing, exclaimed Viva Cuba!, Viva Cuba!... with the force with which the Children love the land where they were born.
