The 65th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution is celebrated in Finland

The Cuban Embassy in Finland hosted a cultural evening this Saturday in commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, accompanied by Latin American and the Palestine ambassadors, leaders of political forces, members of the Cuban community and the Finland-Cuba Association, among other friends of the Island in this Nordic nation. In her welcoming words, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González expressed the solidarity support received by Cuba from Finland and dedicated a few words of gratitude to the Finland-Cuba Association that recently made the "60th Anniversary" trip to Cuba, at which time they carried out work solidarity in medical institutions and brought a medical donation to the Pediatric Cancer Hospital in Havana, as part of their tour of the Island.

Ambassador receives manager of the Finnish company Bokira Group

In this final days of the year, Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, received a visit from Matti Ponkala, representative of the Bokira Group companies. During the meeting both parts discussed about new plans for 2024 from this company present in Cuba. Cuban diplomat thanked Mr. Ponkala for his support to continue expanding the areas of interest of the Finnish companies in the Caribbean Island.

Cuba thanks the Communist Party of Finland for its historic support against the US blockade.

For Ambassador Beatriz Parra González it was a pleasure to receive Jiri Mantysalo, vice president of the Communist Party of Finland, this Friday at the Cuban headquarters in this Nordic capital. The Ambassador thanked the Suomen Kommunistinen Puolue (SKP) for its historical solidarity with Cuba against the United States blockade and its permanent denunciation of the damage it causes to the economy and the daily life of the Cuban people.

Embassy of Cuba accompanies the 30th Anniversary of the "Baila, Baila" school in Finland

The Embassy of Cuba accompanied the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the “Baila Baila” School, founded in 1993 by the dancer Miguel San, a Cuban resident since then living in this Nordic capital. The main show was a tribute to Cuban music and dance taught by this Institution, an important promoter of Cuban culture in Finland and the countries of the region. Ambassador Beatriz Parra González and Consul Adalberto Ávila Parra had the opportunity to congratulate the Director of Baila Baila and share with some of its main instructors, as well as with members of the community of Cubans residing in Finland present at this celebration.

Cuba participated in the celebrations for Finnish Independence Day

Cuba was present at the celebration of the 106th Anniversary of the Celebration of the Independence of Finland, held this Wednesday at the Government Palace. During the gala, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González conveyed a cordial greeting to President Sauli Niinisto and his wife Jenny Haukio, on behalf of the people and the Government of Cuba, at times of this national commemoration. The Cuban diplomat also had the opportunity to share greetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, to whom she reiterated the cordial message sent by her Cuban counterpart, Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, in greeting to the Independence Day of Finland.
