Good afternoon: As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle. None of the members of the staff of the mission was injured, who is safe and protected, but some material damages were caused to the building as a result of the numerous gunshots.

Havana, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Wednesday that the United States repeats 'despicable lies against international medical cooperation programs' of the island.
On his Twitter account, the foreign minister said that the U.S. Department of State is intensifying the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba, and insists on slandering the solidarity aid that it provides to several countries.

Another week of the COVID-19 battle in Cuba began with the encouraging news of only 20 new cases and 24 medical discharges in a single day, while the government continues its daily analysis of the situation, reaffirming that despite the epidemic’s favorable development we cannot lower our guard in the slightest.
Emphasizing this premise, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, led Monday’s meeting of the prevention and control task in the Palace of the Revolution.
