Infographic map update. 23 “Henry Reeve” Medical Brigades in 22 nations to face the new Covid-19 pandemic

One thousand 466 Cuban health professionals, integrated into 23 "Henry Reeve" medical brigades, have left for 22 nations in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, to help contain those affected territories the spread of a virus, which we already know, will be won only with cooperation and solidarity.

President Díaz-Canel to attend NAM´s Online Summit

Havana, 2 May 2020. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, will participate in the Online Summit entitled "We stand together against COVID-19", convened by Azerbaijan in its capacity as Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, in the format of a Contact Group, which comprises representatives from various regions making up the Movement.
The event, which will be held via videoconference on Monday, 4 May at 7 a.m. (Cuban local time), will be chaired by Azerbaijan´s President, Ilham Aliyev.

International Workers' Day or May Day yesterday and today

In a world hit by an exceptional pandemic, workers around the world miss the celebration of May Day or International Workers' Day. Historically it has been celebrated in many places, and bloody manifestations of claiming their rights in other places.
In Cuba, only after the triumph of the revolution on January 1, 1959, the workers fully achieved all their rights and May day became a source of national joy, with millions of people parading up defending the socialist revolution.

Aggression with fire arm against the Embassy of Cuba in the United States

In the early hours of Thursday, 30April 2020, an unknown individual opened fire with an assault weapon against the building of the Embassy of Cuba in the United States. There was no personal injury to the Mission staff, which is safe and protected, but there was material damage caused to the building resulting from the impact of the bullets.
