Message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Africa Day This year we commemorate Africa Day in Cuba under exceptional conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This, however, will not prevent that such a relevant event as the foundation on May 25, 1963 of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), renamed African Union (AU) in 2002 be celebrated as we Cuban always do.
Cuba reports 8 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours
Havana, May 22 -- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 8 new cases of COVID-19, for an total of 1,916 positive cases across the island.
Havana, May 20- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is lying about the celebration in Cuba of May 20th -- when the neo-colonial republic was established on the island.
Havana, May 20.- The 26 brigades of Cuban doctors from the Henry Reeve Contingent who are working today in about twenty countries, have so far treated more than 26,000 patients from Covid-19.
