Cuban authorities present food sovereignty plan to diplomatic corps

Havana, February 18, 2021.- Representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in Cuba were briefed on Friday about the National Plan for Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education, which seeks to increase agricultural production and substitute imports, among other objectives.
Parliament President Esteban Lazo chaired the meeting, which was also attended by ministers, the representative of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO) in Cuba, Marcelo Resende, and the FAO adviser for such issues, Frei Betto, among others.

Meeting of Cuban diplomats with the Greek Nobel Committee for Cuban doctors in Greece

On February 20, a solidarity meeting was held between the members of the Greek Committee for the Nobel Prize for Cuban doctors and Cuban diplomats in Greece, organized by the coordinator of the committee Velissarios Kosivakis. The Cuban ambassador to Greece Zelmys María Dominguez Cortina, accompanied by Counselor Jose Oriol Marrero Martinez and other members of the diplomatic mission, thanked the friendship and solidarity of the Greek friends.

Solidarity with Cuba on the 63rd anniversary of the revolution in Athens

Athens, February 20. The Hellenic Cuban Association of Friendship with Cuba in Athens, organized an important act of solidarity with Cuba to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban revolution. The ambassador of Cuba Zelmys María Domínguez Cortina; Takis Varelas, painter; Nikos Karandreas, president of the association and Eleni Papagiorgiou, doctor at the Evangelismos hospital took the floor. At the end, the documentary "The strength of a country" about Cuban vaccines, subtitled in Greek, was screened.

Cuban diplomats visit University of Ioannina in Greece

On February 16, the rector of the University of Ioannina Triantafylos Albanis, received in his office the Cuban ambassador to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina and the counselor José Oriol Marrero Martinez. He was accompanied by leaders of the Association of Administrative Staff of the University of Ioannina.
