In the face of the worsening humanitarian situation in Cuba, primarily caused by the 63 years of the criminal and genocidal blockade imposed on Cuba by the U.S. and now coupled with Cuba being listed as a sponsor of terrorism, further isolating you from the world of trade, commerce and economic progress, we at Cuba Solidarity Forum Ireland wish to assure you of our continued support and solidarity in these dreadful troubled times for the Cuban people.

We know that the purpose of these vile deeds is to suffocate your country's survival and to clearly crush Cuban socialism.

Due to the current difficulty in sourcing energy, the Cuban government has been forced to temporarily shut down much of its industry and its services to its people.

Academics, diplomats, officials, students and lawmakers from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe, participating in the International Seminar on Parliamentary Diplomacy, which took place on September 18 and 19, 2024, in Havana, Cuba, have widely debated the role of parliamentarians in strengthening international law, promoting the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations and building a better, fairer, more democratic and peaceful world.
