Cuban ambassador and the leader of the ruling party in Ghana hold meeting

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, received Mr. Freddie Blay, acting National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana.

The Cuban Ambassador highlighted the state of historical relations between Cuba and Ghana, as well as his commitment to continue working on its strengthening. He also thanked the party leader for the attention given to the Vice President of the Council of State, H.E Mercedes López Acea, during her recent visit to Ghana.

Ghana and Cuba express their desire to increase cultural exchange

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, received the Executive Director of the Ghana´s National Commission on Culture, Mrs. Janet Edna Nyame, who paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy accompanied by the Deputy Director of Program, Ms. Bernice Deh-Kumah, and the Principal Secretary, Mrs. Mildred Ashley.

Ambassador of Cuba visits the headquarters of the Ghanaian Times newspaper

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, paid a visit to the headquarters of the newspaper Ghanaian Times. He was received by its Chief Editor, Mr. David Agbenu, who in his welcoming words, explained that the newspaper was founded in 1957 by the then Prime Minister, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, with the purpose of showing to the world the voice of the new country.
