Nairobi, October 7, 2022- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Kenya, Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez, was received by the President of the National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K), Paul Tergat. Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Edisleydi Curbelo Garcia and other executives of NOC-K as Mr. Francis Mutuku, Secretary General; Mr. Maluki, First Vice President; Mr. Kioni, Second Vice President; and Peter Ciira, Third Secretary Cadet, Americas and the Caribbean Directorate MFA, also attended the meeting.

Havana, October 4, 2022- The Government of Colombia derogated the INTERPOL warrants of arrest as well as the notes of international requests for cooperation and alerts issued against the members of the Peace Delegation of the National Liberation Army (ELN, by its Spanish acronym) and cancelled the requests made to Cuba for the extradition of the members of said delegation who were stayed in our country.

The Cuban dignitary was welcomed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by deputy speaker of Kenya’s Parliament Gladys Boss Shollei.
