Important contribution of Cuban teachers in the Land of Mandela

The Cuban teachers of the Basic Education Cooperation Brigade work in different South African provinces sharing the experiences of the Island to improve the learning of Mathematics and Physical, Natural and Technical Sciences in South African Basic Education students.

Pretoria, September 22, 2020.- This September 22, 2020, is the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1995, both States have worked together in the interest of diversifying and expanding bilateral cooperation.

We proudly highlight the bilateral cooperation that has been developed in the health area that began in 2005, with the signing of the first Health Cooperation Agreement between both countries.

Congratulations to the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics on its 15th Anniversary!

Pretoria, Septiembre 19.- The International Medical Brigade was created on 19 September 2005, in response to the damage caused by hurricane Katrina to New Orleans in the United States, which brought about approximately 1,336 casualties.

The Brigade was called Henry Reeve as a tribute to an American man, born in New York, who joined the Cuban independence war against Spanish colonial domination. In the history of Cuba, Henry Reeve became a paradigm of international solidarity.

Eswatini government thanks Cuba for sending doctors to fight COVID19

Pretoria, September 9, 2020.- The government of the Kingdom of Eswatini sent a message of gratitude to its Cuban counterpart, on behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III, the Queen Mother and the people and government of the Kingdom, for the valuable assistance given by the 19 doctors sent by the Island to assist in efforts against the COVID 19 pandemic.
