On July 26, 1953, the Moncada military barracks in Santiago de Cuba was the site of an armed attack by a group of 135 revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro.

Pretoria, July 26, 2019.- Members of the Embassy of Cuba, representatives of the Cuban Collaborative Brigades and Cuban residents in South Africa celebrated the 66th anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

In the cultural political activity, the members of the Embassy were present, representatives of the collaborations of Cuba in South Africa of the sectors of Health, Education and Construction; as well as Cubans residing in this country.

Expressions of support for the Cuban Revolution and repudiation of the blockade continue in South Africa

Cape Town, July 26, 2019.- A demonstration in rejection of the resurgence of the US blockade against Cuba in the South African national Parliament took place on July 26, based in the city of Cape Town, one of the 3 official capitals of South Africa.

The protest was organized by the Friends of Cuba Society (FOCUS) of Cape Town and also participated members of the Communist Party of South Africa and the Association of Veterans Military.
