Photo exhibition shows ties between leaders of Cuba and South Africa

Havana, July 16, 2024 - The Fidel Castro Centre in Havana will open today the photo exhibition "Two men, two peoples, united in a hug: Fidel and Mandela", which testifies to the ties of brotherhood and solidarity between Cuba and South Africa. The exhibition brings together pictures of South African leader Nelson Mandela's first visit to the Caribbean country.

Deputy Minister Alvin Botes condemns Cuba's inclusion on the list of state sponsors of terrorism

Cape Town, 15 July 2024 - South Africa's Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Alvin Botes, condemned the US blockade against Cuba and the island's continued inclusion on the spurius and unilateral list of countries that sponsor terrorism, in an appearance before the country's National Assembly. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs briefly mentioned some of the country's main foreign policy lines and mentioned Cuba.

Worldwide rejection of Cuba's inclusion in the U.S. list grows

Havana, 10 July 2024 - Almost fifty governments around the world have so far rejected the inclusion of Cuba in the State Department's list of countries that sponsor terrorism. To this demand the statements of rejection by movements, organisations, institutions, activists and international personalities who have denounced this designation as unjust and arbitrary have been added.
