Ambassador of Cuba holds new meeting with Secretary General of the Uganda Ruling Party.

Kampala. On the morning of April 19, the Honorable Richard Todwong, Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement of Uganda (NRM), received Tania Perez Xiqués, Ambassador of Cuba in that country.

After a year of joint work, they reviewed the results and challenges, recognizing the strengthening of relations with the Secretariat and the Youth, Workers and Women's NRM Leagues.

Likewise, from the recent accreditation of the Ugandan Ambassador in Havana, the perspectives of strengthening bilateral cooperation between both nations were updated.

Palestinian cause convenes in Uganda.

Kampala. At the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Iran in Uganda, on April 13 the Palestinian cause summoned accredited diplomatic missions and Ugandan students to St. Lawrence University.

 

Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques represented Cuba in this new call for the true unity of the Islamic world and respect for the rights of the Palestinian people.

Ugandan Minister of Education receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

Kampala. On March 23, the Honorable Janet Kataaha Museveni, First Lady and Minister of Education of the Republic of Uganda received the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Pérez.

 

During the meeting, they exchanged on the historical project of bilateral cooperation with the University of Mbarara, at the same time that they evaluated the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the educational and sports fields.

Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with Minister of Health of Burundi

Bujumbura. On March 16, the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Perez Xiques was received by Dr. Sylvie NZEYIMANA, Minister of Public Health and the Fight against HIV/AIDS of the Republic of Burundi.

 

At the meeting, they evaluated the challenges facing the health system of the African nation and the historical and most recent Cuban experiences of medical cooperation on the continent.
