Categorical rejection of unfounded accusations of electoral interference in the United States

Articles in The Miami Herald and others from the McClatchy press organization, to which the newspaper belongs, began a new slanderous campaign against Cuba at the end of last July, citing anonymous intelligence sources to support the accusation, a common practice that this journalistic organization and its editors are accustomed to when lies are the basis of the report.

The accusation is that Cuba is carrying out efforts to influence local electoral campaigns in the state of Florida in the United States.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda hosts Cuban Ambassador.

Kampala. This morning, August 22, Mr. Vicent Bagiire, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués.

During the meeting, they analysed the current status of bilateral cooperation projects, and the same time, it was ratified the political will to advance in the economic and commercial relations.

Cuba and Uganda celebrate this year 2024, the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Cuban Ambassador visits Cuban health workers in different Rwandan towns.

Kigali. As part of her work program in Rwanda, Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques visited the towns of Nyamata and Butare, where Cuban health workers work in Rwanda.

The authorities of the Rwandan hospital institutions conveyed to the Cuban diplomat their gratitude and recognition for the work carried out by Cuban professionals.

The tour culminated with a virtual meeting with the rest of the groups not visited in person, which allowed the commitment of Cuban cooperation in Rwanda to be reaffirmed.

Cuba reiterates its gratitude to the Secretary General of the Ugandan National Resistance Movement.

Kigali. On August 11, the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, José Ángel Portal Miranda, greeted the Secretary General of the Ugandan National Resistance Movement, Honourable Richard Todwong.

The opportunity was propitious to thank the Ugandan political leader for having led the delegation of that African nation to the VII Continental Conference of Solidarity with Cuba held last January in South Africa.

Health Minister holds meeting with Cuban collaborators in Rwanda.

Kigali. On August 10 and 11, Minister José Ángel Portal Miranda visited Cuban health collaborators working in the capital Kigali and in the town of Kabgayi, in Rwanda.

In both meetings, the Cuban health minister conveyed the recognition of the Rwandan authorities for the performance of the Cuban collaborators, and the commitment demonstrated, in just two months, to the efforts to strengthen health services in that African nation.
