Cuban Ambassador thanks the farewell by the group of African Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls in Uganda

Kampala. On the evening of November 22, the Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques attended the farewell offered by the Group of Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls from Africa accredited in Kampala.

On the occasion when the much-loved High Commissioner of South Africa and until then Dean of this African diplomatic group was also said goodbye, the work of both diplomats was recognized, at the same time that the historic ties between Cuba, Fidel Castro and the African continent were highlighted.

President of the Global Pan-African Movement meets with Cuban Ambassador.

Kampala. On the afternoon of November 21, the Honorable Kahinda Otafiire, President of the Global Pan-African Movement and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, met with Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiques.

On the occasion of her farewell as head of diplomatic mission, Pérez Xiqués thanked the prominent Ugandan politician, the Pan-African Movement and the Ministry he heads for their support during her work as ambassador to the African nation.

Ugandan Foreign Minister receives Cuban Ambassador.

Kampala. On the morning of November 21, the Honorable Jeje Odongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiques.

The Ugandan minister praised the contribution of the work of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Kampala to the progress experienced in bilateral relations in the period.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat thanked the support received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ugandan authorities for the development of her work in the period 2022-2024.

Cuba and Uganda sign cooperation agreement on technical and vocational education.

Kampala. On the morning of November 14, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda and the Ministry of Education of Cuba.

The Honorable Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo, Deputy Minister of Education, headed the Ugandan delegation and was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and several Commissioners. The Cuban side was represented by Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques.
