Zimbabwe and Cuba ratify mutual support at the multilateral level

Harare, November 10, 2023. The Permanent Secretary of the Zimbabwean Foreign Ministry, Ambassador James Manzou, held a meeting with the Chargé d' Affaires a.i. Cuban, Yoisy Ford García at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the exchange, the representatives of both countries welcomed the good state of diplomatic relations and cooperation in the multilateral sphere.

Zimbabwe together with Cuba against the US Blockade

Harare, October 20, 2023. The director of Multilaterals of the Zimbabwean Foreign Ministry, Mr. Mike Chigiji, received the charge d´Affaires a.i. of Cuba in Harare, Yoisy Ford García, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place in a relaxed atmosphere. Once again Zimbabwe ratifies its sustained unconditional support for the Greater Antilles, in the battle against the US blockade imposed for more than 60 years. Chigiji conveyed congratulations for the success of the G-77 + China Summit that took place in Cuba on September 15 and 16.

Zimbabwe confirms interest in continuing to strengthen cooperation with Cuba in the health sector.

Harare, October 18, 2023. Chargé d'affaires a.i. of Cuba in Zimbabwe, Yoisy Ford García, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Health and Child Care, Honorable Dr. Douglas Mombeshora, in the company of the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. María Eugenia García Céspedes. Officials from the Ministry of Health and the Foreign Ministry were also present on the Zimbabwean side.

The Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association (ZICUFA) condemns the terrorist attack against the Cuban Embassy in the US.

The Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association (ZICUFA) issues a statement in which it denounces in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that occurred on the night of September 24 at the Cuban Embassy in Washington, DC.

ZICUFA condemns terrorist attacks and calls on their perpetrators to refrain from behavior that violates international laws. At the same time, the letter expresses its solidarity with the people and Government of Cuba and advocates once again for the lifting of the blockade of more than six decades imposed by the United States on the island.

Harare, September 11, 2023.- The Zimbabwean Foreign Minister, Hon. Frederick Shava welcomed the Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Harare, Yoisy Ford García and expressed his satisfaction at visiting Cuba once again, on this occasion to attend the G77 Summit plus China. Shava will chair the Zimbabwean delegation that will travel to the largest of the Antilles. The exchange highlighted the good state of bilateral relations and the mutual interest in continuing to consolidate historical ties and diversify cooperation. Both representatives denounced the unilateral coercive sanctions against the Caribbean island and Zimbabwe.
