Cuban ambassador to Iran Alberto González on Wednesday paid an official visit to the Iranian broadcasting facilities and thanked the special TV programs broadcast opposing US blockade. Mr. González met with senior executives of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), whom he thanked on behalf of Cuban government for joining the media marathon to condemn the US blockade against Cuba.
The Iranian Spanish-language station HispanTV is adding its presentations to the "media marathon against the blockade of Cuba" that started on Friday, a campaign promoted by a European Cuba. The Iranian TV station announced its adherence to the call to “express its repudiation of the blockades and sanctions imposed by the United States against independent countries.”
The ambassador, Mr. Alberto González Casals, received at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy the Officer for Political Affairs of the UNAMI Liaison Office in Tehran (United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq), Mrs. Maira Kupers. During the meeting, held on Monday morning, both diplomats exchanged information on regional events, in particular the current political-economic scenario in Iraq.
