NAMIBIA, September 21, 2017.- The President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, in his address to the high-level segment of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly demanded the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States Government against Cuba. The African leader also celebrated the process of re-establishing relations between the two countries.

Thirty years ago, we took an important step forward when considering development not only as a goal, but a right for all. We then acknowledged that this right may be applied regardless of our birthplace, social condition, color of the skin or affiliation to a social group.

Kuala Lumpur, September 21st - The minister in the office of the prime minister in charge of parliamentary affairs, Dato Azalina Othman received a courtesy call by the ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández.
During the cordial meeting the parties addressed the ways to increase relations in the parliamentary sector. Likewise, the minister expressed her sympathies for Cuba and received from the ambassador an update of the situation in Cuba.
