Ottawa, September 19.H.E. Julio Garmendia Peña Ambassador of Cuba to Canada, in a working visit to Global Affairs Canada, was received by The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Canada´s Minister of International Trade on Monday afternoon.
The Embassy of Cuba in Canada deeply appreciates all the signs of solidarity with the Cuban people received after the passage of Hurricane Irma through our territory. We would like to share the following information with all those who wish to collaborate with the efforts of the Cuban people and Government in recovering from the damages caused by this powerful hurricane:

Toronto, August 21st, 2017. The 22nd edition of the Toronto-Cuba Friendship Day was held at Nathan Philips Square of Toronto´s City Hall. The event was organized by the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association in Toronto (CCFA-Toronto), the Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto "Juan Gualberto Gomez" and the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network.
Montreal, July 7th,- The Cuban Youth National Baseball Team was received last week in the City Hall of the district of LaSalle, a borough of the city of Montreal, Quebec. Local authorities, Canadian Baseball executives, as well as the Ambassador of Cuba to Canada, Julio Garmendia, attended the welcoming ceremony.
