Toronto, September 26, 2016- Yesterday, the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto released a statement demanding the end of US blockade against Cuba which has been in force for more than five decades and still affects the Cuban people.
On Resolution 70/5 of the United Nations General Assembly entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”
In a cordial atmosphere, the two leaders discussed the good state of relations between Cuba and Quebec, as well as prospects for their development. They also agreed on the willingness to broaden ties in the economic and commercial spheres
Ottawa, September 9, 2016- Philippe Couillard, Premier of Quebec, will travel to Cuba on Monday, September 12, on an official visit. This is the first time a Premier from this major Canadian province pays a visit to the island.
