Pakistan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs receives Cuban ambassador.

Islamabad, April 28, 2022 _Pakistan's new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, today expressed her country's determination to consolidate friendly and cooperative relations with Cuba and its people.

While receiving Cuban ambassador Zéner Caro on a courtesy call, the Pakistani diplomat also fondly recalled the assistance provided by the island to her country after the earthquake that devastated the South Asian nation in October 2005.

Cuba and Pakistan agree to expand cooperation on women's empowerment.

Islamabad, March 17, 2022._ Secretary General of the Women's Federation of Cuba Teresa Amarelle Boue and Chairperson of the National Commission for the Status of Women of Pakistan, Ms. Nilofar Bakhtiar, agreed to expand bilateral exchanges and cooperation on women's empowerment.

The agreement was reached at the end of a meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York, within the framework of the participation of both officials in the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

Cuban ambassador visits important industrial center of Pakistan.

Islamabad, December 17th, 2021._At the invitation of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ambassador Zéner Caro paid a productive working visit to the city of Gujranwala, an important industrial and manufacturing center in the province of Punjab.

In his meetings with the directors and members of the Chamber, the head of the diplomatic mission confirmed the interest of local businessmen in the Cuban market, as well as identified several sectors of interest to boost bilateral economic and trade ties.
