There are 14 Henry Reeve brigades fighting COVID-19

Fourteen brigades of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve", with 593 Cuban health professionals, fight in other nations the new coronavirus SARS CoV-2, causing COVID-19, of them, 179 are doctors, 399 nurses and 15 health technologists, 338 are women.

This new gesture will continue to distinguish the Cuban Revolution. The Henry Reeve brigades that today are helping other countries in no way jeopardize the health care of the Cuban people.

Last March 13, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland requested from the Cuban authorities that MS Braemar, a member of the Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, be authorized to dock in a Cuban port and that its passengers, a small number of which have been affected by the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV 2/Covid-19), be cleared for repatriation by air.

International Women's Day is celebrated in Sri Lanka

SRI LANKA, March 9, 2020. - Invited by the women's organization “Progressive Women Collective”, the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, attended the event organized by them in the occasion of the International Women's Day.

The Ambassador, during her speech, highlighted the role of Cuban women in our society, which constitute, among other issues, 53.22% of the members of parliament.

SRI LANKA, February 28, 2020. - The Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Honorable Susil Premajayantha, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged on issues of bilateral and multilateral interest, as well as reiterating their interest in continuing to strengthen relations between the two countries.
