No one doubts that, at a moment that we hope will never happen, the people of Cuba will fight to the last consequence

I cannot find a way to refer to the defense of the central role of the United Nations and the promotion of peace and development and the primary responsibility of the Security Council in maintaining international peace and security and its contribution to dialogue and the promotion of political solutions; without asking this Security Council to, realistically, at least try to fulfill its primary and supreme mandate regarding the military threat and energy blockade against Cuba; nor can I refrain from encouraging the United Nations General Assembly that, in any case, use with determination its extensive and decisive powers, its moral, legal, and democratic authority that the peoples have conferred upon it, in the situation of Cuba.

Vietnam voices concern over US indictment against Cuban General Raúl Castro

Spokeswoman of the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs Phạm Thu Hằng on May 22 expressed Vietnam's reaction to the indictment issued by the US Department of Justice against Cuban General Raúl Castro. Answering a reporter's question regarding Vietnam's response to the move, Hằng stated: "Vietnam is deeply concerned about the judicial measure taken by the US Department of Justice in issuing a criminal indictment against Raúl Castro, former First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and former President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba."

Vietnam, Cuba partner to publish selected works by leader Fidel Castro Ruz

The Sự Thật National Political Publishing House of Việt Nam and Cuba’s Fidel Castro Ruz Centre have reached an agreement to jointly publish Obras Escogidas (Selected Works) by Fidel Castro, marking a significant effort to preserve and promote the Cuban leader’s ideological legacy while deepening bilateral ties. The agreement was discussed during talks in Hà Nội on Wednesday, as part of a working visit to Việt Nam by a Cuban delegation from May 18–22, led by Dr. Réne González Barrios, Director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Centre.

The Executive Order of May 1st and the Blockade Measures Announced Today Further Increase the Harm to the Cuban Population and Reinforce the Threat of Aggression

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. It likewise condemns the decision adopted by the US Treasure Department on May 7, 2026, to include the Cuban entities GAESA and MoaNickel S.A. in the Specially Designated Nationals List, being this the first coercive measure resulting from the order signed on May 1st. We are being witness to a ruthless act of economic aggression which multiplies the extraterritorial effects of the blockade.
