After defeating COVID-19 with the decisive help of medical personnel at Holguin’s Fermín Valdés Domínguez Hospital, Canadian Michael Glafhestea is going home
"We can contribute more to saving human lives by acting with responsibility," insisted the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, yesterday afternoon, April 8, during the daily meeting to evaluate the epidemiological situation in the country and implementation plans to control propagation of the new coronavirus in the country.
The Prime Minister announced the decision to indefinitely extend due dates for electricity, water and gas bills, in order to close public offices where payment for these services is normally made.
The extension of therapeutic coverage to all municipalities across the country, with the opening of more sites, is the key strategy in the application program for HeberFERON; a one-of-a-kind medicine to treat skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma), developed and produced by Cuba’s Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB).
The Embassy of Venezuela in Vietnam expressed its recognition to the Cuban health internationalism , through a message on social networks in support of the Caribbean country medical missions.
"Venezuela knows very well that Cuba saves lives. Long live Cuban solidarity ! Long live Fidel! We will always be grateful for the help and love from the Cuban people, ” the Bolivarian representation said on Twitter, on behalf of the diplomatic staff of the Embassy and its military attaché.
